from zackey on 04/06/2015 12:50 AMHappy Easter! It was an awesome day in church. We have a new pastor with very different ideas. There's a guy in church with long hair that looks like Jesus. He appeared after the choir sang. He served communion. I still get chills thinking about it.

from zackey on 04/05/2015 09:24 PMPepper Rancher, you remind of a story i rarely tell. When I worked in a wholesale nursery, me and my partner, Pat were in charge of filling orders. We were pulling tomato 6 paks. We got down to our last pack and we were short two tomatoes. I grabbed 2 yellow fruiting tomatoes to fill the order. Maybe something like that happened to you? Also I know kids and adults mix up the labels in the garden centers.
Hummingbird
from zackey on 04/03/2015 05:53 PMWe saw a hummingbird visiting our neighbors flowering collard plants. He left 4 in the ground. It visited each plant. I always think they prefer red flowers, but that proves me wrong.

from zackey on 04/03/2015 05:46 PMMy favorite is Sungolds. It a yellow cherry tomato. I grew two last year. They got about 8 feet tall before they croaked. We push the limit when we garden. Being Yankee transplants, it's hard for us not to grow them in the summer. Everyone we know has yanked theirs out and ours are producing like crazy then. My chickens love them.

from zackey on 04/03/2015 03:16 AMI was ready to put ant killer on it two days ago and they are all gone! They loved the chopped half sweet potato. I must have chopped it in half when I was harvesting. They are also gone that were in a big hill close to our house. I was ready to douse them with chemicals, but they were gone. Also they are gone around the front porch. We feed our outdoor kitties there, If they left a few pieces they were covered in minutes by fire ants. Not sure what happened, but I am very thankful! I hate using chemicals.

Many people joined that were uncomfortable with the new Gardenweb/Houzz, but they have never posted anything. The few of us that are active are trying to get and keep this forum going. Please don't be shy. We certainly aren't! This is a good site for questions, comments, answers, seed trading and unrelated gardening chat.
