from Backwoodswife on 03/02/2015 01:57 AMWe freeze, can and dry them, eat alot of salsa and give alot away to friends! I plan on doing about 150 plants in all.
This year I am going to try freezing some, skins and all fresh from the garden, I usually blanch them first but have read fresh works really well. Anyone try this before? About 4 years ago we began freezing our other veggies (beans, turnips, summer squash, etc...) without blanching first, I am so happy we did! They last all winter and taste better than they did when we were going through all that work to blanch them!
