SUGGESTIONS ON GROWING CHIVES??

from howconnie on 03/01/2015 08:30 PMThey like cool spring weather to grow from seed. try dappled shade or plant under taller plants keep them cool longer. I plant them like grass seed to trim and eat. Also pull up plants and place them in water at sunny window, They will continue to grow for a month then put them back to get seed

I have tried growing them in the garden and in a pot.
They never came up. I have really good soil and don't really have problems with anything else that I grow so I really don't understand why I haven't been able to get them to grow.
